Texas Children's Hospital: Main campus today

From our modest beginnings, Texas Children’s has continued robust expansion in our facilities, clinical programs and patient population.

Texas Children’s now includes the Jan and Dan Duncan Neurological Research Institute; the Feigin Center for pediatric research; Texas Children’s Pavilion for Women, a comprehensive obstetrics/gynecology facility, focusing on high-risk births; Texas Children’s Hospital West Campus, a community hospital in suburban West Houston; and Texas Children’s Hospital The Woodlands, a second community hospital planned to open in 2017.

We also created Texas Children’s Health Plan, the nation’s first health maintenance organization (HMO) for children; Texas Children’s Pediatrics, the largest pediatric primary care network in the United States; Texas Children’s Urgent Care clinics; and The Center for Children and Women, a primary care medical home for Texas Children’s Health Plan members.

EXPANSION TIMELINE
In just 60 years, Texas Children’s has grown significantly, not only in size, but also success.
